The True Fit Rebound (model C670) is one of the newest additions to the True Fit Convertible Car Seat family. This seat delivers all of the standard features from our original True Fit with several new features. This seat features the standard no-0rethread easy-to-adjust harness. The harness is for use up to 65 pounds. Our easy off head rest and easy off pads are standard too. The C670 model features smaller bottom rails and the patented Rebound Energy Management system--a flip up rebound bar that actually helps manage the rebound in the unlikely event of a crash. Pull the bar forward and it snaps in place with your rear facing installation and flip it back with you move to the forward facing installation. This seat is fully lined with EPP foam and has deep side wings that really surround your child. We have added a center angle indicator in the front of our seat for use when installing in the rear facing position. This new easy to read indicator will help you determine if you have installed your seat at the angle recommended by Safety Advocates. We have also moved both side LATCH attachments so they are easy to access when you are installing your seat and easy to secure when you remove the seat from your vehicle.

The First Years Family of Highest Rated True Fit Convertible Car Seats-Easy for You, Safer for Your Baby! Looking for a car seat that is easy to install? Did you know if you have a seat that is easier to install there is less of a chance that it will be installed incorrectly? The C670 True Fit Convertible Car Seat has been awarded high ease of use ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). What does that mean? That after reviewing our seats, our labels, and our instructions it was determined our seats were Easy to Use! The True Fit Rebound (model C670) was awarded Five Stars in both the rear and forward facing modes, the maximum awarded by NHTSA and our True Fit (model C630) was awarded Four Stars in both the rear and forward facing positions.
Why buy the True Fit convertible seat? Did you know that you can use our seat from 5 to 65 pounds and during the entire time of use your child will be secured in a 5-point harness? Most Safety Advocates recommend keeping your child in a harness as long as possible! Advocates also recommend keeping your little one rear facing for as long as possible. We have a removable headrest that really is easy to remove. One finger lifts the release and you are able to pull the head rest off until you need it. As your infant starts to grow, simply add the head rest back on and you are good to go in the rear facing position up to 35 pounds. When your infant is ready to watch you drive simply make sure that head rest is in place and turn your seat around. Remember, even in the forward facing position, your child will still be using the 5-point harness. Let's not forget about installation, all of our True Fit Convertibles feature built in lock offs and LATCH system, for both the rear and forward facing positions. We also color code all of our belt paths, making it easier for you to locate just where you should be putting your car seat belts when you install your seat. Wondering about Side Impact Testing? The True Fit seats all have deep side wings and they are all side impact tested to International Standards!
Ever try to adjust or rethread the harness straps on a car seat? Unless you have a few hours to spare, you will really appreciate our no-rethread easy-to-adjust harness system. We have easy to access shoulder belt height adjusters on each side of the seat and they are clearly marked with recommended positions (four) based on whether you are installing in a rear or forward facing position. All of this means you never have to spend time trying to figure out how to correctly rethread or adjust the harness. Does your child ever make a little mess with their animal crackers in the car? The combination of our no-rethread harness and our easy-off padding makes clean up a snap, literally, our pad snaps right off. Simply lift the center flap on the pad, unsnap the sides and clean up is as simple as can be. Once your pad is clean, it snaps back on in seconds hassle free!
As your child grows, have no worries that they will not fit in your True Fit. The interior dimensions of our seat are large and comfortable. In fact, with the extra cushy seat pads and roomier seat it may be hard to convince your child to leave their seat!
When you are ready to choose your favorite True Fit model, let us help you decide.

Customer Reviews
Firstly, I would like to give Amazon and the seller an A++ for fast shipping. I was expecting to have to wait at least a week for this seat. I placed my order on January 5th. My estimated delivery was January 11th-14th. The car seat arrived on January 7th! I was amazed. And quite happy because I was anxious to get it. This review will be more of just an overview because my daughter has only ridden in it one day, but so far it is an awesome seat.
After doing tons of research for a convertible car seat for my fast growing 6 month old daughter, I thought I had run out of choices. I had previously owned a Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite, and not only was that car seat a monster in size, it was also a pain to install, and it didn't even fit in the backseat of our 2007 Chevy Impala. I ran across this True Fit Premier, and it looked to be just about the same size as the Alpha Omega Elite,so I was weary of buying it. I had also looked at more expensive choices like Britax, but none of them have the Anti Rebound Bar like the True Fit has. I am very happy with my choice. The True Fit Premier was a BREEZE to install. I believe I got it installed 6 minutes, 7 tops. It was so easy I had to re install it again to make sure that I had done it right. The instructions are clear, with lots of pictures, and tips(are very helpful for people with little knowledge about car seats).
The first thing I noticed when the package arrived at my door was how small it was! I was expecting a huge box, but the True Fit Premier(TFP, from now on in my review) was in a mere square shaped box. I opened it and took everything out and was extremely surprised that the seat was very compact. I think someone who reviewed it earlier commented on how big it was...Maybe they have a really small car? This seat is very compact for it's design, even with the head rest on. I love how it came with the LATCH already threaded for Rear facing, that made it that much easier to install.
Another thing I noticed right away was how soft the cover was. It's extremely plush and cushioned. I put my daughter in it to adjust the straps, and she just smiled and sat there. She squirms and wiggles to get out of her infant carrier. I was pleasantly surprised.
Overall, this car seat is awesome. It's extremely easy to use, and install. Everything is color coded. The instructions are printed right on the car seat itself, so if you misplace your manual, you've got a reference. I love the high harness weight to 65 lbs forward facing, though I won't be using that for a while since my daughter is only 6 months old. I love this seat, and I have no idea why anyone would give it a low rating. It is simply great.
I've compiled a list of the Pros and Cons I've come across for this seat. I hope they help in your decision.
PROs:
PRICE- Currently this seat is $90 off. That is a great deal!
FAST SHIPPING- I ordered the seat on January 5th, the seat arrived on January 7th.DAYS before the estimated delivery date.
MANUFACTURE DATE- I've never ordered anything like a car seat online, so I was a little worried about the Manufacture date being recent. Pleasantly surprised, the date of manufacture on my car seat was 7/06/2010.
SIZE- The seat may look big in images, but it is surprisingly compact. It installed in the center of our 2007 Chevy Impala, with room in the front to spare. My fiance is very tall, 6'3", so space was a big concern I had. He can recline his seat the way he likes and comes no where in contact with the TFP. A note. Only newborns and young babies that don't quite have head control need the seat to be installed at a 45 degree angle. Once your baby is older, like my daughter who is 6 months old and can hold her head up, and sit up by herself, can have the seat installed at a more upright incline. I used a level and she is at a 37.8, which is perfect because she hates laying down in seats, and it also allowed more space for people riding in the front of the car
SOFT COVER!- I hated the cover on our infant seat. It was scratchy. The cover on the TFP is extremely soft and plush, the seat is nicely cushioned, and it seems like it'll be very easy to clean.
SNAPS!- This is one of my favorite things about the seat. The cover comes off with snaps! It's so easy to remove it's silly. You undo a bunch of snaps, then you have like 4 elastic straps to undo and you just slide the cover right off. Easy peasy!
EASE OF USE- Everything was extremely self explanatory and with a quick read of the manual I had the seat installed and ready to go in less than 10 minutes.
LATCH HOLDERS- I use LATCH, but if for some reason I can't one day, the holders will come in handy.
ADJUSTMENTS- Everything was easy to adjust on this seat. Pull two knobs to adjust the harness height. Pull a strap to tighten the harness. Pull a level to take the head rest off. Everything is so easy.
CONS:
I've only found one con so far but if I find more I'll have to come update you. The one con that is pretty minuscule is that the plastic chest clip felt a little flimsy to me. I think it's flexible to be able to fit the baby/child better, but I was expecting it to be so flexible. But that's the way it's made so it has to be safe.

I know this review was long, but user reviews are what helped me decide to buy this seat, so I hope that mine helps someone out there!
I cannot understand the negative reviews posted for these seats. I have one and am about to purchse 3 more for our two vehicles and two kiddos. Every function is simple, and ingenious. We have traveled ever since our first child was 4 months old and took this seat everywhere - all around the country. I have installed it in every rental car imaginable with relative ease. The belt locks are genius in my opinion, but the same result could be accomplished with two seperate cinch mechanisms with a latch belt that was split and fastened permanently to each side of the seat - whatever. Mostly i got to use the latch system, but on a couple of occasions, the locking clip had to be employed in an older vehicle or a newer vehicle without latch hooks in the location where we wanted the seat. I am an engineer, so maybe I have an advantage. I actually laughed when I read some statistics that stated 'most people install car seats incorrectly'. I have seen what others do as parent almost 3 years and concurr. It is not that difficult in my opinion, and I have not encountered a vehicle yet where this car seat couldn't be installed. The newest 'rebound' feature is interesting and probably useful in a hard rear end collision. Resultant damage or movement of the seat would not change if the impact is from any other direction - in my opinion.
All kids are messy. First mistake is allowance of eating in the car. My kids don't eat in my truck, typically, and I just don't have mess problems. Sure some cheerios once in a while, but thats it. My wife however, allows anything and everything. Yes, everything and anything will go down in to the crotch strap pass through - so what - clean it out when you wash the cover. It is not that difficult. Yes, the seat can get messy, but I just don't see any other design being any less 'mess preventative'. Washing is really simple to accomplish compared to the other seats we own. I typically take all the belts off and wash them too, as they tend to get sticky. All in all, I think the design looks cool.
How can the padding not be good for babies or kids? I don't even know how to respond to this one? This seat is great. If you want more padding, buy the 3rd party pads....
After having owned and tried several others, the belt buckling system is just so simple and smooth to operate. Negative reviews on this sub-system are just incorrect and unfounded. Read the manual, use it properly. I can get my kid strapped-in inside of 10 seconds and out in less - tight, even, comfortable --- safe. I cannot say that for any infant-only seat or any other forward facing toddler seat. If this review is pivotal in any way towards its purchase, send me an email, and I video this activity and proove it. Would be glad to send it to anyone...
